Before jumping into planning for the New Year I like to take some time to review the year past. Reflecting on highlights and lessons learned allows me to celebrate all of the good things and honor the tough stuff too. Bringing closure to the past year is a powerful and important step in moving forward with a clean slate and open heart. Here are my 2012 Highlights:
  1. Seasonal Women’s Retreats at the yoga studio
  2. Baby Yoga with Lainey
  3. Megan turned 14!
  4. My first TV interview on OSC
  5. Mastermind group with two inspiring friends
  6. Spa dates with my sister and my HSGs (high school girlfriends)
  7. Finally transitioned to a new primary care doctor from the doctor I’ve had SINCE BIRTH
  8. Brunch dates with my husband
  9. Lainey’s first babysitter
  10. Launched new website (you’re reading it now!)
  11. Published yoga practice CD – a project two years in the making
  12. Megan’s All-County Chorus Concert
  13. Family & professional photos with the talented Sarah Bridgeman
  14. Megan’s Honor Society Induction Ceremony – loved watching her in her role as President!
  15. Living Wellness of Niagara was named the Main Street Business of the Year
  16. Megan’s Chorus concerts
  17. Lainey’s 1st Birthday
  18. Dance recitals for Megan and my niece
  19. My niece’s Pre-K graduation
  20. Megan’s 8th grade graduation
  21. Birthday trip to the lake in a friend’s RV
  22. My niece’s last soccer game
  23. Days spent at the beach
  24. Megan’s ArtPark theater performance
  25. Trips to the zoo & aquarium
  26. Fell in love with hot vinyasa
  27. BWER meetings
  28. Girls’ Nights with HSGs
  29. Music classes with Lainey
  30. Rented all of our offices & hosted a fabulous open house at the wellness center
  31. A new member of the family moved in
  32. Streamlined my therapy practice

Reading this list over I see my ideal life ratio in action! For me this list is just the right combination of joyful family-centered highlights and meaningful life’s work-related accomplishments.
