My nervous system is in overload.

 

 

It’s not even 4pm and already today there has been a bubble incident & a poop incident.

 

She has not napped.

 

We started our day with a professional photo shoot that involved three 3 year-olds, tears, and screaming.

 

It’s 75 degrees out with 73 percent humidity.

 

I have no clean workout shorts or capris.

 

I put my sock on and there’s a hole, leaving my big toe sticking out.

 

I’m weary. My body is begging for a reset.

 

I drink a tall glass of water with lemon and check in with myself.

 

Yes, I need to run. I need to move my body. I need to feel my heart beating in my chest.

 

I put on long pants.

 

I find a new sock.

 

I run.

 

All the way back to myself.
